Officer of the Year

This award is given to an officer who has distinguished his or herself through either an accumulation of exceptional contributions or a single incident, and whose actions clearly place the individual above others of equal rank or grade.
In consideration of your nomination for this award, input was received from the Awards Screening Committee, your peers, and supervisors.

Your performance as a detective with the Criminal Investigation Division has been exceptional. Your attention to detail, work ethic, critical thinking, and professional attitude has been noticed by your peers and supervisors. You have been the lead detective on a majority of the high profile cases worked by the Division in 2024, and your case work has led to multiple arrest where the victims were children. You have demonstrated your meticulousness in processing crime scenes, completing reports, and exhausting all possible leads in your cases.

You exhibit a professional attitude with your peers, victims, witnesses, and even suspects. Your willingness to provide assistance to others in the department does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for a job well done and for being an excellent representative for our department in the community.
